School Data: upload and download on Secondary+

Registered schools will need to log on to the Secondary+ secure website to upload pupil information before the assessments are carried out, and to download the assessment software ready for installation.  A user-name and password will be issued only by post to the school's registered SOSCA Coordinator.

Once the pupils have completed an assessment, school staff must upload those results to that website (unless using the web-access option).  When the files have been processed (next morning) you will be able to see which tests each pupil has done, and use the Pupil Editor to manage their details and responses.

Standardised feedback will be available once schools have supplied their data and it has been analysed, with Predictions feedback to follow and Value-Added feedback once SOSCA pupils have reached GCSE or Standard Grade.  Value-Added feedback will also be available for pupils who had already taken PIPS in P7 or the MidYIS Baseline Test in S1, once that analysis is complete.

Only schools registered for SOSCA can log on to the Secondary+ secure website.  This is the most secure way of sending and receiving data.  But in case of difficulty, pupil data can also be sent by CD (see CONTACTS) or by email to , unless you have made arrangements to use secure ftp.
