Data Sharing
On registering, schools may opt to allow their Education Authority to view their data, or other schools in a specified consortium, if they wish. This will enable useful comparisons and allow discussion based on evidence rather than impressions. Since the point of SOSCA is to help schools monitor themselves, such evidence is key to that process. The registration form (see above) offers the school the option to share data in this way, and to allow the Education Authority to supply your school's examination results for Value Added analysis.
To make it easier for schools to supply their pupil-identification details, they may choose to allow their authority's IT Service to access and supply the data.
With the above possible exceptions, CEM keeps school data confidential to the school concerned. Moreover, we do not expect schools to use it for publicity purposes, only for internal monitoring or reporting to individual pupils and their parents.
